I've been searching for a video of the new AMG plus package of the 2013 models, because I have one on order (except it's a C350) This is a vid I found of the new 2013 C250 Sport Coupe AMG package that can only be ordered for the C250 coupe.


This confirms and shows the following:

1. Blacked Grill slats
2. Black side mirrors
3. New wheels

Would look better with black gloss trim rather than chrome in my opinion.

 

The wheels look like cheap aftermarket wheels.

 

Yeah that's what I said when I first saw the package a few months ago. It's like they asked a young teenager to pick an awesome set of wheels lol. When buying a German car, I want to see classy and sporty wheels. Not something that you can get at the Walmart autoshop. (Just a reminder that I am talking about looks and not perfoamnce/quality). I also don't understand Mercedes' fear of 19' wheels.

 

BMW do a similar wheel (silver with gloss black) on their sport plus model in the UK, seems to be the fashionable combination on German cars at the moment, but in 19" size, that extra inch makes all the difference

 

 

I completely agree with this too.
The black grille looks quite nice though.

 

I guess I am the only one who likes these wheels.

 

Very Nice overall but also not a fan of the wheels (sorry), all the other available choices look much nicer IMHO

The silver shifter paddles (visible through the windows) are a nice touch and rear boot spoiler looks great

Curious though the AMG plus package is meant to have a lower ride height than the standard AMG package, but it definitely dosn't look that way to me, in fact my C250 with current AMG package looks lower than that one

 

looks good, but those wheels are butt ugly.

 

I like the wheels don't think they look too good with the red colour though, white would look a lot better.

 

yes! I'm not alone! I got mine in Diamond white. If they look bad in person, my plan B is already set : Black C63 wheels like so:

 

I've ordered 250 coupe in polar white with amg handling package and interior lighting package with privacy glass, due mid July, white will look good and contrast nicely with black / silver wheels and black mirrors and grill.

 

How did you order the privacy glass? I didn't see it offered! If I knew this was available I would've gotten it too! . When did you order yours? Hopefully your July due date is accurate, because my Sales Rep doesn't even know when it'll be here.

 

I'm from UK, privacy glass offered on all models at a cost given delivery date of 13/7 when ordered as the latest date but told should be sooner, placed the order mid April. European build for 2013 started 1st June.

 

You're lucky to have such an early build date and lucky to have ordered early! Mine was ordered mid May, which I pray does not mean an August delivery date, lol.

 

Dealer been in touch today, build date of 3/7 and should expect car at dealer by 12/7 for delivery.

 

I thought building '13s started as early as this month? So it's being built NEXT Month? bad news for me

 

I think that's exactly what Mercedes Benz is doing. The fact is, I would suspect the majority of these coupes to go to teenager and young adults (like myself) - so they offer a package that caters to our tastes. If this was available when me and my brother got our coupes (17 years old and 21 myself) I think we both would have sprung for these packages.

While these wheels may not be your cup of tee. They certainly don't look like wheels you can buy at Walmart or PepBoys. I just think that the video doesn't do much justice for these wheels, and definitely not on the black car.

Either way, I like the upgrade and I am glad that Mercedes listens and trys to cater to customers by offering packages and listening to what customers like/want.

 

This is his specific order. 2013 models have started production already for dealer delivery (ones mercedes decided to make, not special orders).

 

hi guys ive just ordered the new 2013 c250 coupe amg sports plus about 6 weeks ago.

i initially went into get the 2012 model but the dealer informed me about the new 2013 model and got the specifications and extras up on the computer and my partner and i both looked over them

the major differences externally seemed
- black grills
-black side mirrors
- spoiler
- alloys

and the new black interior with red stitching

i opted in the end for the obsidian black 2013 c250 amg sports plus with

- privacy glass as extra
- interior light package as extra
- and the high gloss black amg alloys as extra ( i didnt like the new standard allows that come with the new 2013 model.

- i kept the new black interior with the red stitching but opted out of having red seat belts and choose black for free

the dealer was very helpful and has kept me updated every week - i have been told build will be end june and expect delivery early july

i went to mercedes benz sunderland for anyone who wants helpful advice and a dealer who has all the spec on there computer to view

i will post pictures of my car once it arrives

 

That's what she said! Ahahahaha. But seriously, anyone have a part number for that blacked out grill? I talked to my dealer today and he said that if they have a VIN, they can figure it out.

 

Are your Black alloys the multispoke ones with chrome trim found on the C63? I've asked for my C350 to be built with these and was told they are only available on the C63...
