Im coming from an Audi A5 and there is a huuuge difference in offset! Im in the same boat as you, struggling to find some decent rims with the crappy offset our cars have! I've considered these rims though I've seen pics of Vertini on the actual car and wasnt concave enough for me.

Im currently waiting to hear back from ADV1 and DPE to see how much concave their wheels will provide our cars.

Same here !!!

ie. I've seen in the flesh almost exactly the same looking Vertinis on an E Class Coupe which shares the same wheel specs as the C Class and both front and rear rims were the same, no convity difference...

If you do get a custom set made there will be an obvious difference in concavity from front to rear, but it'll be much less than the same wheels made for a BMW or Audi coupe as said above.

Take a look at those Vossens (CV2's for eg) advertised on here and that'll be what you'll get in alternative designs, unless you opt for a design with deeper dish staggered arrangement which will give a more obvious staggered look rather than centre piece concavity profile difference.

Just be aware with ADV.1 and DPE from what I've seen they'll push the outer rim lip all the way out to the edge of the guards to maximise concavity and then have 'stretched' tyres on them, personally I'm not a fan of either of those 2 results...

On my previous car I had DPE. Ultimately I want a brand/design wheel that will achieve the most concavity as possible. Ive already decided on the a staggered set up 20x8.5 fronts and 20x10 rears. I could most likely run a +35 set up if i dial in massive camber, roll and pump the guards and super stretch the tyres ahahahha

I put a set of Madrus wheels on my Mom's C350 Coupe. They are specifically made for MBZ and I think were also hubcentric. Discount Tire Direct. I put a set of Breyton GTS AV on my E550 Cab (same chasis) as well. Tire Rack
275/30/19 and 245/35/19
Good luck

What about these? Our timeles design, available in any configuration!

These are forged wheels that can be machined for you with custom offsets, no rubbing, no spacers, perfect fitment. Would look great on the C-Class too!

Those are nice, have seen them before but not the clean design above, the ones I saw had bolts showing on the face these are a much nicer finish, will look into these further

Blinks if your preference is 20's what about the Vossen CV2's specially made for the C Class Coupes, I would've probably opted for a set of those but they only come in 20" - I defrinitely want 19" max. dia for my C Coupe.

AV1 Why don't you be the first one with this exact design? It is tried and tested on a number of cars, but not on a C-Class and we'd love to see it on it!

~ being forged ... can you give us all an idea of the cost of a set of 19" wheels?

Always been a fan of forged wheels though what kind of offsets can you do for these wheels as that will determine how it will actually look on the car. The pics of the wheels displayed here look like a 20x10 with a +35 offset which will be damn hard to fit on our C class.

~ looks like this will be the rims i'm going with in 19s ... (total cost = $3,100 w/ dws extreme conti tires, tpms, lugs) ... the quoted offsets will keep the tires and rims inside the wheel well lip ...

purchase will happen once eibach pro-kit or h&r sport springs are located (back order everywhere for the coupe).

They look cheap, TBH it looks like you want something that is not in your budget. Quality and Concavity does not come cheap with our offsets. Stick to the Vertinis if you don't want to spend the money to go forged. It comes from a good company. IMO the most important part of the car is the tire and wheel combo you select, it is the only part of the car that touches the ground.

~ a budget isn't the concern but a wheel that fits the car as it should is... without a rim lip exceeding the tire.

3k reasonable... 5k just a bad investment.

Im not saying that 3k is not reasonable. In fact that is the amount that I paid for my forged rims that where on sale. So my total cost out the door was 3800 hundred with tires. Remember this is a mercedes forum the cheapest car out the door in here in 40k so 5k to some are just a drop in the bucket and very ver reasonable. Unfortunately I am not one of those people, so just like you I searched and searched for the best deal and correct fitment. may I suggest looking into Rennen, you can get a quality forged wheel by a upcoming company for about 3200 dollars. I have no doubt in a couple of years they will be going the mandatory 5 grand for forged wheelshttp://www.rennenforged.com/wheels/monolicht/m8.html

~ seems to be the best choice for my wants... many say the rear lip takes a beating from the stones when driving?

i really want lowering springs (back ordered) before i order rims... rims w/o springs don't cut it for the clean look i want to achieve.

This ^^^

It is a major concern of mine also, especially if planning on keeping the vehicle a long time with high usage the lower side sills will be badly deteriorated

That's why I'm looking for a wheel solution that'll keep the wheels tucked in as much as possible, IMO I've seen too many so far with the outer wheel lip edge too close to the outer guard lip or even sticking out of the guards.

If you get those you've chosen andrew it will be interesting to see the fitment results

I am privy to the inside story on this. I wouldn't make it a concern and thats all I am going to say about that. I googled beware HRE Wheels and came back with similar stories. There are always two sides of the story.

Thanks for the reply

I actually googled them after reading your suggestion to have a look and alot of warning and beware listings came up, not just that one I posted...I've never seen such a long negative listing for a single wheel manufacturer before

I'll still consider all wheel types and manufacturers though until I finally find something that fits my exact requirements.

Im a wheel *****, so Ive bought anything from 7k wheels to the cheapest of the cheap. Lets put it this way all custom wheel companies have some issues. Even if they claim they don't some of the worst offenders are the most expensive.
