Need urgent input! About to buy!

Hello all,

I'm about to purchase a new 2012 C250 coupe with the Multimedia Package, Lighting Package, and Keyless GO for $38,XXX. I have a few questions:

1.) Is this a solid deal, or should I push a bit harder?
2.) Here is another concern - I am not attached to the comand head unit and would almost prefer the harmon kardon found in the P1. I would like NAV, however. The 2013 is supposed to come w/ Becker prewired, a nav system europe has enjoyed for well over a year. Since the 2012 and 2013 models use the same Audio 20 head unit, could I get the wiring done at a later time? The salesmen don't know jack about it. If that is the case, I'd much rather opt for the P1, Lighting Package, Keyless GO, and then add the Becker Map Pilot later.

Thank you for your help, I truly appreciate it.

I recommend getting the Nav/HK (p.1 package). The integration and peace of mind you get (under warranty) is worth the extra money. I was definitely sold by this version of the COMAND system. The H/K sound system is well worth the extra money (light on the low-end bass but still great clarity and sound staging for what you're paying). Aftermarket options get quite expensive and don't integrate as well (MB has gone out of its way to make aftermarket mods prohibitive). Unless you're trying to add 2000W of power with 2-4 subs and trying to blow out everyone else's ears, I don't see why the H/K system isn't enough.

Im with GSX. Get the P1 and the HK. Youll regret it later if you don't.

Thanks for the help....well after doing some more research looks like I'm going to go with P1, Nav+4, Lighting, Keyless Go, rear spoiler for $38.259. I think that's the best of both worlds :P. Thanks for your help guys.

Nab+4 isn't really a great option. You lose voice control by not going with multimedia. I strongly suggest find a p1 multimedia. Plus the 13 is out now. 13 has better options IMO and mbrace2.

True...but I wouldn't get 2k below invoice on a 2013, not terribly interested in embrace. The voice controls would be nice, but it's been very difficult finding a car with all the specs I want for the price I want. I'm not sure what the better options are on the 13 other than mbrace2 and optional becker map pilot (the updated replacement, seemingly, for nav+4/umi).

I was referring more to the color options for interior on 13 and mbrace2. I think those are options I see value in. As for locating one, your dealer should be able to trade for the perfect optioned car. What programs are you using to get below invoice? Conquest? Cap? Usaa? We just got our first 13 in Friday. Ill look into program differences between the two model years for you on Monday. I can also do a quick inventory search to see if your perfect car exists

Well the MSRP on my model was $43.7k, they are selling it to me for $38,259 + TTL. I'm financing. Not sure what programs they are utilizing, but I figured 5,500 off sticker is pretty good. Is that a possibility w/ the 13? I am looking to finance it ($0 down, 2.74% APR for 84 months from my CU). Isn't MBRACE a monthly free?

5500 off msrp is a great deal if it's a 0 mile car. But if they can do it on that car, they ahould e able to do that deal on any car(Same model) plus transportation if they hce to locate It Have you served in the military? Own a car other than Mercedes? Currently financed through benz? That also a great rate. But finance or paying "cash" won't have an effect on price.

Mbrace is annual yes. You get a trial on it when you buy an Mbrace equipped car. Mbrace 2 is going to be standard on every MY13. Mbrace on 12 is like a $660 option

I have another question. I've been reading reviews of the '12 and many have mentioned lackluster acceleration. Then I read the dealer order guides and daimler media statements that talk about a '13 C250 Sport Coupe with better engine management/mapping and more aggressive sport shifting. Is this going to be found standard on ALL C250s or just those with the sport package?
