Watching videos/Uploading music to the hard drive

2 Questions:

1) Can you watch videos on the Nav screen? I know you can if you have a DVD in, but can you watch videos from an SD card or off of your phone?

2) What is the best way to get a lot of music from your computer onto the hard drive in your car?

From what I've read it seems like you can only rip songs from CDs. Something about copyright protection... Pretty lame. Not sure about playing videos from the SD but my guess would be no. The system would have to be loaded with the proper codecs and I doubt that's the case.

Nope.

Videos only from DVD (which you could burn).
Music can only be ripped from a music CD. Can't even rip from MP3 CDs, let alone a memory card or USB stick.

Mercedes ALWAYS lags behind everyone HORRIBLY when it comes to the entertainment technology in their vehicles. They just plain suck horribly at it. It is very frustrating.
