Aluminum Trim Dings

Aluminum Trim Dings
Hello all,
I just noticed I have a few dings/scratches on the driver side door aluminum inlay. I believe this was caused at some point by the dealer or arrived as so from the manufacturer. One of them is quite deep. I am going to try to get the dealer to cover the costs, but should I not be able to since it has been 1 month and nearly 3k miles since purchase, does anyone know where I can buy the part? It's the aluminum peace behind the door handle - the long one.

find the part number in the EPC electronic parts catelog; you can try one of many online wholesale parts dealers unstead of going in person to purchase the part

The ding was most likely caused by your seat belt buckle hitting the trim. On my W203, I had the same problem with little dings on the door trims. I eventually replaced all the aluminum trim with the wood pieces.
For online source, try www.getmercedesparts.com
or just google "trademotion mercedes" and you will get several results
to access the EPC, you will have to go to MBUSA website, to to technical information or search the site for startekinfo. It is free to use but you must use a credit card (no annual cost) to use it though.
