Exiting '12 S4 Owner, Thoughts on Coupe Leases

So I'm a soon-to-be ex Audi S4 owner as I have someone who will be taking over my lease. I'm looking to possibly get into a C-coupe lease deal. I'm not decisive on a 250 or 350 yet as I'm looking to really just dumb down my monthly payments from an S4 to a Coupe as i think the sedan looks hideous.

What are the lease deals looking like for a C250/350 Coupe with 2K down with Navi/Lighting packages?

I can tell you right now that a C250 wont be nearly powerful enough when coming from a Supercharged S4. You need a C350...

I test drove a C250 (all the dealership had left) before getting the S4 and yes, it's definitely not even in the same league, but I'm not trying to avoid going back to Infiniti's G37s Coupe. I think I've had my thrill of 4-doors, want a coupe again..

2012 E350 Coupe
I love the C350 Coupes.

I'm ordering mine next week for Febuary Delivery Date, a 2013 C-Coupe with the new sport package. fully loaded

The wheels are questionable, but they grew on me.. Ideally I might get another white or a black this time :\.

Not to sure what deals are around NJ but I'm certain that most dealers would offer you a greater incentive for a 2012 versus a 2013.. but the 2013s have Eco Stop/Go which would dramatically (I assume) save you gas. In general it be wise to get a 13'.

As for C250 vs C350, I can't say I could go down from a E350C to a C250C, the E and the C350c are identical, except for the wider part/looks on the E.

It is turboed on the C250C and I'm sure you would save gas $, but as fun as the turbo can be, you're still down almost 101HP/44TQ. For me that's a huge lack of power, plus I do enjoy the current V6 Engine Even though it doesn't nearly compare to the S4's :P.

It's really up to you, and your budget, the gas shouldn't be to bad on the new 13' C350C's.

I for sure, love the new C350's, thing it suits my age more anyways, over a E350C.

PS. Shop around the MB dealers, I don't know how the states have it, but here in Toronto there are 7 Corporate Dealerships, and a few that are private, and remeber to give a reason why they should give you a deal, IE you are looking @ a 335ix Coupe.

2013 Black C250 Sport+
I am a former S4 owner. It was pushing out more than 400 horses. And I now have a leased C250 Sport+. I am perfectly happy. It's got no power whatsoever below 2000 RPM. But when the turbo kicks in, it's surprisingly quick for a 201 horsepower car. It's more than enough for everyday driving and autocross and HPDE. When I took my modded S4 to racetracks I got passed by A4's. And I passed some Lambos too. You know what I realized? It's not the car, it's the driver that matters the most. Just because you buy a sniper's rifle doesn't mean you are a sniper. That said...

I can't speak for other C models, but C250 Coupe Sport+ is very racy. Much better seats than the S4. Much more grounded and lower feeling also. And it feels much, much lighter. Which it is. Sports mode in the transmission is vicious. It matches revs on downshift. It's not nose-heavy. S4 felt like an overpowered fat pig with high center of gravity and unrelenting understeer. There was no lightness to it. Although it can dash out great performance numbers, it felt very synthetic and video game like to me. My C Coupe feels like a Miata compared to it. Just enough power to make it fun, light on its feet, and well-balanced. I don't miss the extra power at all. I am glad I went with a C250, not a C350. I do believe C250 Sport+ coupe is the most racy C coupe model besides the C63 AMG. It's got the biggest brakes, most aggressive suspension, speed sensitive steering, vice-grip seats, and more track-oriented transmission programming compared to other C cars. Other sport packages are mostly cosmetic. It's the perfect C Coupe for the driver who doesn't need the biggest engine.

It's always more fun driving a slow car at 100% than driving a fast car at 50%!

What's up D?

Bored with the S4 already? C coupe is a good choice. Good looking cars, solid as a rock.

Good luck in your hunt.
