C230 Kimpressor and ML350
C230 Kompressor, Drivers Seat will not tilt forward
When we try to tilt the driver’s seat forward, the latch releases on the left side (outside) but inner latch does not release. Solution: push seat back hard and then latch will release. I removed seat back – cables look fine.. Any ideas? My wife does not have my mass to push back hard on seat...

I had a similar issue that was actually user error:
My passenger tried to tilt the seat forward using the control switch (the one that tilts back rest down/up) instead of using the latch. He moved it all the way towards front of the car, so latch would not do anything.
So, try adjusting back rest tilt "down" and try latch again.
