We just finished the prototyping of the RADO C250 Intercooler Upgrade. This intercooler upgrade is a direct bolt on unit that does NOT require any cutting or fabrication and you will not need to drill any new holes cut away any of your stock components. It is a well thought out kit that comes with everything that you need to bolt it on your car with basic hand tools and it comes with everything you will need for a simple bolt on installation.

We have not figured out pricing yet but the prototypes were a lot of work. We spent a lot of time in the fabrication room on the lathe, the mill, the bending brake and welding to make this kit. We are going to the SEMA show with one on our car and another unit will be display in our booth (booth #24524) so make sure you stop by if you will be at the show. As soon as we get back from the show we will be looking into production costs and we should have a release date and pricing shortly after we get back from the SEMA show. I will post pictures as soon as we have them available.

The cost to build these Intercoolers was a lot higher than we had anticipated due to the end tank design, factory bumper design and the type of hose connection that Mercedes is now using. Our sample intercoolers took us days to build because of the angles on the end tanks and the machining on the inlet and outlet pipes.

Due to all these problems we decided that it was best for us to just go the extra mile and cast the end tanks to try and bring the costs down. We received out first cast sample yesterday and installed it on the car yesterday. With a few small tweaks I think we will be ready to go into production with this unit.

Once I give the ok to go into production we are 65 days away from being able to ship product. I would think that I am about a week away from giving the ok, we still need to do some real word testing on the prototype unit. I will post some pictures in a little while of the prototype cast piece.

Hi World Motorsports, do you guys have test pipes or HFC for the C250 or planning on producing one?

We have a non-catted down pipe, mid-pipe and rear section exhaust that we have made for the car. Downpipes should be in stock by the end of next week, mid-pipes are in stock now and the cat-back exhaust was just sent back to production to have some improvements made and should be available in 3 weeks.

For the catless downpipe, will you be implementing a discount program for independent dynos from customers? Or will you have dyno graphs posted?

All we are offering right now is a well made cat less downpipe with the proper flanges. A lot of the available horsepower increase is going to be determined by the available tuning options.

We are looking into tuning options ourselves but we are not satisfied with what we have discovered yet at the price points of the solutions that we have found. Hopefully we find a viable solution sooner than later.

We welcome all of our customers to independently test their vehicles and report their findings although we ask our customers to look beyond the dyno figures when reporting the performance improvements available with our parts or anyone else's parts that are available for this vehicle.

We will continue to work at producing the best parts available for your Mercedes Benz.

We have had the intercooler in place on our vehicle for over a week now and everything seems to be working out really well on it so we are going ahead with production and should have pieces in stock in 60 days ready for sale. We will have pricing on the unit in about 30 days but we should be very competitively priced.

We were hoping to get a great deal on factory bumper supports and have them cut out for the intercooler but we can't seem to find anyone that can sell them to as at a great discount so we may supply a template instead for the customer to cut out there factory bumper support and that will help to keep costs really low. I would like to get your thoughts on that.

The easier the installation the better. I believe all of us would pay a little more if we can just bolt the intercooler on with ease.

These parts are in production now. Testing has gone better than expected and we are working on the costs now but it should be VERY affordable.

The core itself is 22"x9" without the end tanks.

This is the intercooler CDI engines have, A2045000100. I am wondering if the RADO will give me more performance than is. The CDI is bigger than the CGI. Your RADO intercooler is for a CGI engines so can you know if i will have a performance upgrade in my car?

I can't comment on that because we do not have that vehicle here in the US so we have never done any testing on it, sorry.
