My old coupe was flooded as a result of hurricane sandy, so I picked up a 2013 C250 coupe today.

A few differences I could notice were nice 1. The car feels much faster than my 2012 in Sport mode, maybe they changed up the gearing ratios but its noticeably faster. 2. The steering is regretably lighter, more power assist and less sporty feel. 3. The steering column stalks are now more convenient because cruise control is far away from the direction stalk. 4. The door mirrors now have puddle lamps. the door handles and footwells are now lit up too. 5. There is now a new color scheme for the navigation as well as the gauges. 6. There are now dedicated buttons for contacting roadside assistance and SOS near the light switches at the top.

All in all I love this car and I definitely will enjoy it.

Black interior, alluminum trim. Unfortunately no projectors,

I wish they had cars with the light package but apparently not many on the east coast especially after the hurricane. Whatever, I'm either gonna install the HID kit or get the philips diamond vision 5000k bulbs.

Sorry to hear about your previous car, but looks like it worked out in the end. I'm really excited to hear about the puddle lights and footwell lights. Do you have pics of those?

The footwell lights aren't anything special lol. I honestly wouldn't have noticed them if people didn't mention it on the MY13 thread. Let me also say that they should have made ALL of these lights as LED's and not halogens, they look too yellow as compared to BMW puddle lights.

Nice minor upgrade Igor. I have some questions...
1. Is mbrace standard on the 2013. Do you have links for facebook and apps on your command?
2. You stated the gearing/car seems faster. Did you keep the BMS tune or was that ruined in the flood. Was wondering how your new car would react to tune.
3. Does 2013 have standard ambient lighting in interior? When you said handles and footwell lights up, are those lights for when the door opens or ambient lighting?

It seems like Mbrace is installed yes but I don't see the apps because the service didn't connect. I think you have to pay for the service. I dont think they even give you a trial.

I ordered another JB+ tuner from Terry because I didn't want to risk running the water damaged one. I think the tune should still be much more helpful in getting the most out of the turbo but yeah the gearing in this car seems to be more sport tuned. I've only driven the car two times so far so I can't say for sure.

The footwell lighting turns on when you unlock the car and open the door, the puddle lights also. The ambient lighting in the door handles and in the map pockets stay on while you're driving.

From the MB website you should get a 3 month trial for the apps and mbrace Plus. And a 6 month trial for mbrace.

They offered me this but I declined it.

They take your cc number and automatically hit it after 6 mos for like $200 something iirc.

To sign up for MBRACE you would have to provide them with a CC# on file I signed up for the 6 months trial, the iPhone App is pretty cool but wouldn't want to pay a subscription fee later

The lighting package is great but the keyless go and entry is a very useful feature I now can't go without and it bugs me whenever I use another car without this feature so I feel your wanting to have it too.

I think given time these sort of features will probably end up being standard on everything
