Hey cap,

Did you get those folding side view mirrors installed? What did it run you? Time, effort, and difficulty?

I have the folding mirrors, switch block, and door control units installed. I am waiting on the 500 code to be added into the VEDOC, so that my dealer can program the car to accept the added feature.

The total install of everything took about 2 hours and was very straightforward. As far as the price, I had the folding mirror parts ordered at the same time as the blind spot assist stuff, so I don't know what the individual prices of the parts were. If anything, I could look up the part umbers in the EPC and then go look at my online retailer's website to see what the wholesale price is (I got the parts from the Netherlands).

Sounds awesome. I already have the blind spot assist package. I am wondering if it is an easier swap since i already have the wiring and hardware for the blindspot assist. I am going to keep following your progress on this one. This is actually a mod that my wife wants me to get. Ha! Go figure.

WOW
I have the same interior and I'm thinking of doing the same. How much did the parts cost roughly? The cabon fiber really brings the red out in the trim in my opinion.

I will have to look at my past invoices, I am thinking between $1500-2000B parts ordered through a Trademotion Mercedes dealer online.

You will need the 2 folding mirror frames, 2 door control modules, and the switch block in the armrest.

You have to get a tech to add code 500 in the Vedoc so that they can program the folding mirrors into the door modules and instrument cluster.

I will try to get the part numbers posted if I get a chance in the next few days. My contact for the parts is Steve (MBenzNL.nl). You can email him at mbenznl.nl and he can let you know how much for the parts and shipping.

also give him your VIN as this will make it easier for him to give you the exact stuff that you will need.

Now that I have the power folding mirrors and BSA project done, I embarked on yet another OEM project. I just finished installing the MB fire extinguisher for the driver seat and next is to install the MB warning safety triangle. I don't know why MB doesn't include these on our cars.

Pictures to come in a few days.

The trunk (AKA boot spoiler) is standard on the 2013 C350 Coupe, the roof spoiler was added option installed at the vehicle preparation center (VPC) before deliver to my dealer. My car was special order to my spec, and it was worth the wait

Bumping this up here a bit - would you mind writing up what all you had to do to retrofit blind spot assist? It's the one option I don't have that if I could go back and do over I would have added to my car. I can't seem to find any other information about it.

I will try to put something together. For the parts I used Steve from the Netherlands (MBenznl@gmail.com). He can at least let you know how much the parts are. I used the MB StarTekInfo for a majority of the documentation, but I will try to write it up in the order that I did the retrofit. Give me a few weeks, and I should have something together.

If you guys and gals want to retrofit the Blind Spot Assist, Folding Review Mirrors, or other stuff, you need to email Steve at mbenznl@gmail.com

I posted that months ago. He is who I use to get all the necessary parts to do my retrofits. Some of the retrofits require more than the basic mechanical skills, and some require extensive disassembling or the car. If you are not very comfortable in doing this, I would suggest having it done for you. In addition, after installing the mods, you will have to go to get the codes inputted into your VEDOC by someone who has acces to the VEDOC. After that, you will have to go to a dealership and have the coding installed into the car systems.

For more information checkout Steve's website http://mbenznl.nl/

One of the negatives with a used car is that u can't pick the mods ( I have the wood grain but would like to add the carbon and piano features. Do these jus overlay the existing trim? Or do these need installed?

The Carbon Fiber trim that I installed is MB pieces that replace the original aluminum trim. Total of about $1500 wholesale.

The parts are option parts for the AMG C63 and was not available as an option for the non-AMG cars. I looked up the parts in the EPC and used a VIN from the same model year C63. There are always ways around to order parts.

I think this is a stupid question since you've done your replacement years ago but you wouldn't happen to still have the silver pieces laying around and wanting to sell by any chance??

I believe that I have most, if not all of the aluminum trim pieces in my garage (protected in bubble wrap). I would be interested in selling. PM me
