2012 C250 Car Accident :(
Hey all! On November 19, 2012 I was driving home from the gym when a total looney tried to make a right turn from the FAR LEFT LANE on a 3 lane road. I had the unfortunate luck of being to her right when she attempted this maneuver and my front driver side slammed into her passenger door.
The result was a giant dent in her passenger door and pretty extensive damage to my car. We made contact at about 30 MPH and the Benz held up REALLY WELL (can't say the same for her Volkswagen
). Anyways, she was from Mexico and driving a rental car. LUCKILY, she purchased the insurance through the rental company and was covered. After a huge struggle with the insurance company to get the full amount covered, everything finally fell into place.
On December 31, 2012... I FINALLY got my baby back! Mercedes of Fort Lauderdale did an EXCELLENT job repairing her back to normal and I'm super stoked to be
around in my Benz again. Pics are below. The damage pic doesn't really do it justice. Total damages were $11,000+

Same case here - same car, car accident, same side, similar damages, expensive repairs, struggle with the insurance company but I am still waiting for it to be done. Hopefully, I will be as happy as you are as I get it back

Basically just front fender and bumper damage, and the dealership just replaced them with brand new ones. $11k in damages is crazy though if there wasn't any suspension damage. MSRP of C250 is ~$40k. Just that damage alone is 1/4 of the value of the car. Crazy...

Externally, the damage consisted of front bumper, driver side fender, hood, front driver side wheel, driver side headlight. The original estimate was $4564 when they thought that was it. Once the insurance company gave them the go ahead to start repairs, they took off the bumper, fender, hood, etc and saw a whole world of new problems (including suspension) that tacked another $6900 onto the total bill. I forget exactly what it was, but one of parts they had to replace was about $2500 alone. I can look at the estimate when I get home, if anyone cares what part it was. It had to do with the steering.
