2013 4Matic vs 2012 RWD (C350)
Hi all,
I traded in my 2012 C350 RWD coupe because it hand a few engine issues and strange exhaust sounds. I now have the 2013 4Matic C350 and had two questions:
1) I see in the price card that the Dynamic Handling Package isn't available in the 2013 4Matic model (only RWD) so I was wondering what that actually is? Tried searching online and no one seems to have a clear answer.
2) The 4Matic version no longer has the paddle shifters which is a shame because I loved using them. I also noticed that in the drive selector I only have E <--> S which is Economy to Sport. I no longer have the option to actually put the car into M manual mode. Is that also taken out of the 2013 4Matic model?
When I asked the dealer they just said I can use the gear shifter but I thought that was only to limit the highest gear and that I couldn't actually downshift with it?
Thanks!

The Dynamic Handling Package is an adjustable suspension package that allows you to choose between a smoother or sportier ride (stiffer suspension, less body roll). Check the MBUSA.COM site for full explanation.
Not sure what M mode is, we don't have it in the US. However you can use the drive selector to shift up and down by moving the stick left and right. If you pull it all the way to the left it will shift down to the lowest gear that will not damage your transmission. Say if you are cruising in 5th or 6th it will drop you down to 3rd.
The car will try to hold a gear you select manually but if you near the redline it will shift regardless of your input.

M is the manual mode. It will hold the gears till you pull on the paddles (or until you bump into the rev limiter in which case it will change).
The electronically adjustable Dynamic Handling shocks aren't available for the 4matic, which is why the option is not offered on 4matic vehicles.
