Mec Design exhaust.

Some of you might be interested in a better look at the Mec Design exhaust for the W204/C204.

I had to order one for a client last week and took some pics while unpacking. It's going on a 2008 W204 C220 cdi.

The packaging is top notch! This is just the last layer of bubblewrap/cardboard...

Exhaust tips look the same size as the AMG ones and have the Mec Design logo on them. They include a template of the piece you need to cut away if you are using a non quad diffuser.

The body of the dampener is chrome/polished and the piping on the tips is painted black. The inside of the tips is also black wich is a good thing for an exhaus on a diesel.

All the mounting hardware is included.

The only thing I didn't like was the Y-pipe and the piping they use. It had scratches and still had the printing on it, it also seemed a bit warped on the outside from bending. But it didn't have notches or anything. Inside of the piping was perfect so no flow problems probably. But it's half the price of an Eisenmann so it's a good quality exhaust for the money and it's E and Tüv homologated.

The client will be installing the exhaust himself so no exhaust clip or mounting info. I will try to make an exhaust clip if I see him. But you can probably find more pictures and clips of the exhaust mounted on youtube or the internet.

The exhaust looks good. Do you know if any welding would be required for install?

Please do post sound clips if you can get them!

I don't think that welding is needed. They have 2 clamps to attacht the dampeners to the Y-pipe and 1 clamp to attach the Y-pipe to the oem pipe.

I'm guessing you might have to cut a piece.
