I just purchased my 2012 c350 2 days ago and I don't yet understand the backlighting for the interior controls. It was getting dark last night and the headlights were on but the interior backlighting for the radio, ac, etc. weren't turned on. A few hours later when it was totally dark outside the backlighting was on as expected. Is there a setting to control them at will or are they completely ambient light sensitive?

I'm not in my car right now, but I'm pretty sure if you use the arrows on your steering wheel you can scroll over to settings in the menu inside your speedometer.

In settings there should be a control for interior lighting.
