Manual Mode
Hey everyone,
So I picked up my c250 coupe almost a month ago now. Loving it. One thing that has been confusing me is the manual mode. Like most of us, sport mode is always engaged. However, when manual mode is turned on via the paddles/ gear shift while in sport mode (I do not have the agility package), the shifts feel really aggressive--particularly the downshifts.
My main concern for example is when down shifting, rolling down from 20 mph, the transmission will shift straight down to 1st even if I'm coming from 4th. Just tonight I was trying to search the forums for any answers and it seems like manual mode is best in "E"? I gave it a try and for whatever reason when shifting down, I can actually shift down each gear rather than skipping. I understand you don't have to manually downshift until you're at a standstill, but the difference in manual approaches for S and E modes is confusing me (especially when it comes to taking turns).
