Intermittent rear view camera?
Hi All,
I have been on this site a while, since Aug 2012 which is when I took delivery of C250 CDI Coupe - Diamond White, Panoramic roof, Adaptive lighting pack, Harmon Kardon sound, AMG cosmetic pack, Dynamic Handling, Red Leather interior, Sat nav.
The car has been a gem apart from a failing thermistat which the dealer fixed, no questions.
I have done a few minor mods which include 20% tint to match the privacy glass on the roof and rear windows, blacked out the grill and lower bumper with Plastidip, and fitted a diesel box which has jumped performance to 175KW and 590Nm which has made a good car - great.
However recently I have had the reversing camera intermittently blacking out. It will work as I back out my driveway then not as I back into my park at work.
However it will work again later in the day.
Has anyone else had similar problems ?

Great description on the car - love it as obviously I have the same
Hopefully all's well with the tune, mine is going well and look forward to how it behaves with a SuperSprint exhaust which is being fitted this weekend.
As for your rear view cam prob it does sound weird, if all else fails just bring it in for a look over at your dealer service department

I do have the same problem with my kenwood camera. somtimes it just blacks out and all the sudden it works.

This happen because they connect the camera light with rear reverse light. So, it need a time for camerat to sync with comand online. Think about your TV when opening, its the same thing happen.
The method to solve is to use 12v to connect your camera. You need to use add-a-fuse to tab an electric 12 v from rear sam unit. Find rear cigarette fuse will be easier.
