Drag Strip Results
Unfortunately we did not have time to test the downpipes so we will probably get a chance to test those next Thursday night. We ran at Irwindale Raceway so it is only an 1/8 mile. I will also put the adjusted to 1/4 mile time in.
We made several runs while stock and several runs with the RADO intercooler kit on the car. I averaged the stock runs and the modified runs and here are the results.
STOCK 1/8 Mile- 10.27@69.98 MPH
Calculated 1/4 Mile- 15.99 seconds
RADO Intercooler 1/8 Mile- 10.030@71.46 MPH
Calculated 1/4 Mile- 15.64 seconds
With the addition of a RADO bolt on front mount intercooler you will see a drop of .35 seconds in the quarter mile. That is more than 3 car lengths in a quarter mile which is a very significant improvement. This is a simple swap without any type of tune whatsoever, the car was otherwise completely stock.
Next week we will test our exhaust alone and then our exhaust and intercooler package.
