Wheel & Tire insurance
I recently purchased a certified pre-owned C350 Coupe with the 18" AMG rims.
At the time of sale I did not opt for the wheel and tire insurance. The MB insurance is ONLY available at the time of sale, I tried through multiple channels to get the insurance roughly 2 weeks after sale including calling the insurer directly and it does not seem possible.
Does anyone recommend a 3rd party wheel/rim insurer?

No, but another option is to purchase a set of used OEM wheels and run winter tires or summer performance on them. Then if you ruin a wheel you can use the extra one to replace it. You should be able to find stock MB OEM's for $600-800 for four. If they are AMG then it will be a bit more. Just an idea. My understanding is that the MB insurance in Maryland was $1100 for wheels and tires.
