Off Topic- My Vacation Rental

Took a trip up to New York for my Nephew's Acceptance Day into West Point. I knew I was going to be shuttling a lot of people around so I rented a 2013 Iridium Silver GL450.
WOW! The Twin-Turbo 4.7L V8 was fun to drive. Tons of torque and the sound of the twins spooling up as I was ascending hills was amazing. I will say I absolutely hate the MB Nav. I have the Becker system in my Coupe and I think it is so much better. Why would any company make a GPS that only shows route with the track facing North? Talk about confusing. The rest of the vehicle was nice, but for $75K I thought it would have more options. I will say it was the best rental I have ever had.

That's strange. On my C350 coupe, as well as the C350GLK loaner car, the maps changes so that the direction of travel is always facing in the UP position

I hate maps that change direction. I'd prefer north to always be UP

Do you have the Mercedes Multimedia NAV or the Becker system? I sat there for about 30 minutes going through all of the options and settings and couldn't find anything for Track direction.

I have the COMAND with DVD (code 512) system. I also have Sirius Traffic and Weather that works with the Navigation system
