Fuel door won't open

Fuel door won't open
The door to access the gas cap is locked and I've tried almost everything to unlock it. The manual basically says to take it in if this happens but there's gotta be an override/unlock switch. I took apart the trunk lining in the passenger side but can't see a button. I tried feeling for one but I've been unsuccessful. Anyone know where this is before I run out of gas?

My e-class did this - solenoid was broken. If memory serves you can't see it after removing the trim as it it is behind/mounted to some sheet metal. It was really hard to pull it back from the locked position. I just check my c coupe and it is behind the metal if you reach from behind the fuse box on the other side of the metal you can reach it. Dealer repair if under warranty.

Went to the dealership today. Had about every mechanic try to find the emergency release without success. They pulled the diagrams still couldn't find it. There was a 2013 sedan next to me - they tried to find it there for comparison and still didn't find it!
The mechanic was able to open the door by sliding it off the pin and sure enough the pin was stuck in the lock position. They ordered a new motor for the locking mechanism and cut off the pin for the meantime.
