Bumper repair

Bumper repair
I got into a small accident today and got my front bumper damaged. My first collision ever and now I'm wondering:do I have to get a new bumper now, or the old one can be repaired, and where should I do it. I live in LA. Would be very grateful for any advice. I'll attach the photo of the damage. Thanks

Yikes. Unfortunately, if you want to ensure that everything is back in full working order, you'll want to ask a reputable repair shop for an estimate. While our cars are great... they've got these little, EXPENSIVE sensors everywhere that help keep us safe. If any of those sensors have been damaged then those will also need to be replaced.
I don't live in LA so I don't have a recommendation for you, but if you have a great relationship with your local dealership's Service Department ask the person(s) (who normally help you) where to go. This worked for me, and the repair work was flawless.

The park sensor seems undamaged, if it's only the grey plastic it may be repared with fiber and repainted by a good bodyshop, the best is to ask a quote, then ask mercedes the stock price and make your choice, the stock bumper will probably come unpaint and you have to add paint cost anyway.

It would not be cost-effective to repair that damage- it should be replaced. If you update your profile to include your location- members might be able to offer some shop suggestions.

That's really painful man !!After watching the pic it seems like its not in a condition of repair so you would need to replace it(Sorry to say this) but before that check whether the other parts of your car are also damaged or not, I mean to say if some of the car parts are damaged then you may go for an insurance claim?? In which I guess you'll have to pay only few bucks and remaining part would be fully paid by the insurance company,, hope this works.
