Command Knob
I'm lost in this thing I just signed up for. What the hell is a thread. Anyway, I need to know about the knob on my Command Center. I has (for lack of a better word) stripped. I can push it left or right or down and it works, but the turning is not working. Can this part be bought apart from Mercedes? Can I install it or do you have to take the whole thing apart? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Search in the W204 Section for Command knob repair or multimedia controller. There is a thread showing how to fix it yourself. The part is over $300+labor from the dealership

It sounds like you are completely new to online forums. Perhaps it would be better to visit a dealer workshop in order to fix the problem. If you are unfortable in the aspects or working on the car yourself.

Is it normal for the control knob to "heat up" from time to time (still functions) or am I getting warning signs of something amiss?
