2014 c250 brake performance

be honest, what do other c250 coupe owners think of the stock brakes on this car?

I had driven my dads C300 for a good amount before getting into this and I was surprised how much smaller the discs were. They are adequate for the car, but nothing more. After I install my BMS intake the next thing I want to do is look into improving the braking performance of this car. Has anyone done anything like this? A search yielded nothing.

Do you have the AMG sports package ??

I can't comment on the standard discs and callipers but have no complaints with the uprated AMG sports package discs and callipers on my C Coupe

There actually was a thread on the W204 C Class sedan section where a guy updated his brakes (front and rear) with a Brembo package and then showed a video demonstration of the improvement, clearly better but also a very expensive option to do.

Try doing a search for the above it may help for what your also looking for

As above can't say for certain, but maybe then if you had the AMG sports package the brakes would be good enough.

AFAIK it would be a more affordable option to update to the OEM sports package brakes rather than an aftermarket Brembo set.

Also I could be wrong but AFAIK all or most MB OEM brake sets are supplied by Brembo.

The brakes on my 2008 C300 were smaller but performed extremely well. It is odd but the C250 Coupe with the Sport PLUS package has the same larger brake calipers and rotors as the C350. The C250 Sedans with the Sport PLUS Package has the same smaller brakes as the old C300. The Brembo GT kit or the AMG C63 upgrade will cost over $4500 and will require modification to the stock set up. You could upgrade to the C350 Brake calipers/rotors and it would be a big improvement and would cost around $1000 for the calipers and rotors.

If you are looking for reduced stopping distance you could replace the tires. Maybe put Michelin Sport Pilots. A good summer tire will provide a 5-10% improvement.
