C350 New Thermostat still getting P0128 CEL
I have a 2006 C350 4MATIC that has had its check engine light on come on.
I pulled out my OBDII sensor and got a P0128 - Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature). Error.
So I went out, bought a new OEM Wahler thermostat and replaced my current one. Noticed in the process there was a yellow coolant (I've heard it could be prestone or the like?) In any case I assume it was the wrong fluid and got Zerex G05 per the mercedes spec. Drained all fluid and filled up with Zerex.
Now stated it up let it get to 80C but the check engine light was still on. When I try to erase the check engine light on my reader nothing happens. It stays on.
So my question was is there another engine thermostat at all that I could try replacing? Or would anyone have any suggestions as to what to try next?
Thanks again for your help!!
