New Grill-What you need to know.
After much research decided on what aftermarket grill to order. Purchased the grill from: CKS Performance Ltd.. Could not decide which grill to buy. Finely went with the SL style rather than the AMG. The oem grill does not have chrome frame -neither does the SL type. Looks great and excellent fit. NO gaps. That's the good news.
Now the not so good news: The mesh backing and trim on the grill is painted a GLOSSY black. Nice paint job except that the original other grills on the front of the car are FLAT black. Did not look good.
Solution: Go to local paint shop that specializes in MB and had glossy repainted flat black to match the rest of the front grills. Now looks GREAT! It should as it cost me $100.
