Direct injection, any issues?

I remember when about 3 years ago direct injection become very hot topic here, anyone with high millage on these engines could confirm power loss or any other issues because of these DI related carbon build-ups? I can't see any difference on mine but it is 13K miles only. I remember someone even canceled his order on new car because of this

2012 C350 Coupe
I have a 2012 C350 I got in Oct of 2011, it's got just under 28,000 miles and I been getting pretty much the same mpg since I first got it. No performance problems yet.

Yes, I believe it is one the forums myths. No real owner could confirm this issues besides some posts from Audi forums we saw 3 years ago. It is always some resistance to then new technology, people are scared etc. It is great engine and technology.
