Inexpensive Fix For Transfer Case
Hey y'all,
I was having a noise in the front end which sounded like a CV Shaft going out. I couldn't figure it out so I took it to a mercedes mechanic that told me it was the transfer case. Fortunately while talking to the parts guy at Mercedes in Tyler, TX. he let me know that Mercedes had come out with a "Bulletin" in 2009 regarding this issue of chattering in the transfer case. Well, it fixed it completely! I used BG LSII Limited Slip Axle Additive and their transfer case fluid. This is some of the best oil I have ever used and was recommended by the parts guy at Mercedes. Here is the "Bulletin". If it wasn't for this guys help I would have been looking for another transfer case!
