Purchasing a 2011 or 2012 C250 - issues summarized
I'm looking at purchasing a C250 coupe petrol either 2011 or 2012 (second hand) in Melbourne Australia. I've done alot of reading across the net and on here about this model. I have summarised my findings as follows:
Very common problems from owners:
- car pulls to the right
caster kit fixes this, doesn't really bother me that much to be honest.
- no power in accelerating, Car enters limp mode idles violently / stalls
- cylidner missfire
- oil / low coolant / adaptive high beam inoperative and esp inop lights come on
this sounds like an computer glitch. I've been reading that there was a recall for a flash upgrade on the ECU for this model but haven't seen anything official. This problem seems to be common throughout alot of owners.
squeeking / grinding from the rear side wheel
- ive read this alot as well, a friend of mine who works at a dealership said the last couple of C250s that were traded in needed new pads and rotors with only 15000 on the clock.
Then again another friend has the C250 sedan from 2012 with zero issues. Also another friend works at an official mercedez repair shop and see's very little problems in both the C250 and C180s coupes.
Does anyone have further feedback on these common issues I've found? Or any other issues for that matter.
