interior cleaning of vinyl or mb-tex??

Hi guys is there somebody can explain this to me because I m quiet confused, I m reading the manual about interior care which says to clean dashboard and trim with a damp microfiber clcoth and under the voice artificial leather which I think it is called MB-Tex says not to use a microfiber for it. Is the dash and seats made from the same material???
by the way if you can shoot a few words how do you clean you vinyl/mb-tex interior and what do you use for it it would be great! I bought this MB interior kit which has the cockpit lotion has anybody tried that??

All the internet posts that I've read say to use a soft cloth w/ some soapy water. Maybe a cheap towel could leave something behind, but I can't see why on earth a quality MF towel would hurt MB-Tex.

I haven't had to clean my seats yet and will let someone else chime in, but I'll be using an MF w/ soap and water when the time comes. I do use a light spray of Surf City Garage, Dash Away, on an MF towel to go over the dash and wood trim w/o issue.

I've also read about people using a magic eraser on their MBT... You can check out the Autogeek.net forums on interior care. This topic has been covered to death over there.

Good luck!

LEXOL products have what you need. Just read the instructions. They have both a leather cleaner and a vinyl cleaner. Have always used the leather care products. Available @ most car accessory stores. Also good stuff @ MB dealer.

303 Protectant is by far the best protectant for rubber and vinyl I've used. Nice matte look, no shine. As for cleaning, as MD states, do not use a microfiber towel. The MF has very tiny loops and can "snag" on the faux surface of the MB Tex and likely little cracks/peeling of the MB Tex. Use a soft cotton towel or paper towel.
