Paint Chips & Care

I've had my 12' C350 4Matic Coupe for a little over a few months. I drive 80% on the highway and only drive aggressive when there aren't many vehicles. I'm sure you guys understand.

I was cleaning it a bit and noticed a couple paint chips and dings, mostly small but sill a pain in the *** to look at and worse to think about. Searched on the forum for any recommended options and no luck, could just be I didn't look hard enough.

In any event I came across this site that offers DIY kits that matches the paint via your VIN color codes.

I recommend Dr. Colorchip. It works very well for small chips.

Thanks for the link. I checked their site and it seems like a straight forward quality product. My main concern was how it matches with the OEM paint and normal wash /wax after curing.

+1 for Dr. Colorchip. I've used this for touch-up on several cars over the years (including my '13 C350 coupe). Excellent color match and holds up well to wash and wax if applied correctly.

It's been a while since last update. DrColorChip came through and couldn't be more impressed. Took no more than 10 minutes to get those knocked out and even with rain the following day it held up.

Real test will be a car wash / wax.

Thanks again for the recommendation on colorchip

even got some left over.
