Backup camera replacement upgrade for 2013?

Backup camera replacement upgrade for 2013?
I've searched and haven't found too much on this other than complaints or adding backup camera to cars without it.
The backup camera in this car is perhaps the worst one I've seen on any car - fisheye distorted, off center, blurry and no guide lines.
I tried getting into the engineering menu but I haven't been able to enable the backup guide lines. Seems like some of the instructions posted for other model years don't apply here.
Is it possible to drop in a different OEM or aftermarket camera in these cars?
It should be an embarrassment to Mercedes but they need to ask the Koreans for some help in designing their info systems, lol. Or any other car manufacturer.

...you make a good point: the lack of guidelines constitutes a low order safety concern...........
I did not realize the engineering menu has a provision for guideline insertion

I agree with the horrible quality of the reverse camera. Our old Hyundai Elantra had a 10x better camera. I have searched but nobody else seems to bring up this issue. If you do anything about it, please post here! GL!

I too am investigating this to see what it'd take to adapt another MB camera which is better, or, some camera from another manufacturer like Audi. Voltage is key, as is the actual mount. If I find anything or do a DIY I'll post it up here.

Not yet, I haven't had time to look yet. I found loads of cameras, but never checked to see what fits, etc. The backup camera is appalling, and I can't imagine anyone approved this for the C class. Hopefully someone might take this on, I just don't have time at the moment.
