Rear Brake Replacement?

I dropped my 2015 C250 off at the dealer today for the one year A service (Only 4000 miles on it) and asked to have the wheel balance checked due to a slight vibration that starts at 70 MPH and above. Later this afternoon they called me and said they were replacing the rear brakes and rear springs due to a factory notice. I have had no issues with my brake (Noise, vibrations, dust). I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this. I see there was a bulletin back in 2012 but I'm sure the factory wouldn't still be using the same parts in 2015.

Hey, you're getting new brakes...

My 2012 generates a lot of brake dust in the rear. I'm about ready to install an aftermarket brand...

I have seen posts talking about replacing the caliper pins on 2012's but nothing on 2015's. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow and talk to the dealer.

It was the rear parking brake. The service manager was a little vague on the original details but when I picked up the car I found that the parking brake shoes and springs were replaced. Possible vibration and noise were the reason
