this should be fun.... dealer repairs

2012 c250 having a no start issue. battery goes dead after sitting over night. I checked battery and it tests fine. I did a battery draw test and it was pulling 11 to 13 amps. tried but couldn't find the circuit pulling the draw. car is still under warranty till the end of the month so I take it to the dealer. they say battery is bad so they replaced it and said all if fine. they said after battery was changed they did a draw test it is pulling 6.5 amps and that's ok. really I say, seems awful high to me. go have the tech check again cos I don't want to be back in there in a week. waiting to hear back.

You can do this yourself, but it's a little time consuming.

I know how to check a battery draw but the car is under warranty and the dealer thinks changing the battery and a draw of 6 amps is ok. this tells me that they haven't checked, don't know what the problems is, or don't want to fix the problem. the problem is dealers/techs get small money for warranty repairs and limited time to diagnose the issue. so they don't want to spend any time on it cos they cant make any money on it. push it out the door.

Yeah, that's why you have to do their work unfortunately. Otherwise you'll never get it fixed unless you tell them you isolated the problem to system X cause you pulled that fuse out. Or go to another dealer
