What Leaking Hose is this???

Can you guys help me determine what hose this is that is leaking in my engine bay shown below? It's towards the front engine. Is it easily replaceable?

What is this hose?

Two hairline cracks circled.

Same thing happened to my C250, it is completetely broken right now. I had taken the car to the dealership for something unrelated and asked them to quote replacing that part: $645 total in parts and labor. i'll find the part and change it myself

Update: The small hose that was cracked is part of the entire "intake hose" part number 271-090-20-29. It's glued to the intake hose so you can't purchase it by itself. Part is about $200. Seems like the small hose is made out of a cheaper plastic than the "intake hose" which became brittle and cracked over time. Was able to replace it myself. Took about 2 hours to figure out replace it but if I had to do it again it would take about 30 minutes.

I recently had this stupid plastic hose broke on me

Is there anyway we can glue it back rather than replacing the whole god damn intake hose which costs alot more?

My intake hose also cracked
Changed oil today and also found my cracked and actually broken off on both ends.

@ Kevin82, do you still recall what you had to remove to replace this part? thanks.

Hi Kevin, any chance you can give me few tips on removing the entire assembly? it seems one end of this hose is connected to the engine air filter which is very easy to get to. however, the other end is kind of buried under few parts that seems to be more difficult to access. i want to replace it myself as well, appreciate if you can reply with some quick pointers on what needs to be done. by the way, did you have to replace any clamp/boot in the process of replacing the entire assembly? thanks. -Jimmy

Resurrecting an old(ish) thread.

i have the same peoblem. The small intake hose, attached ro the larger intake assembly, is broken.
Do I just pull on the broken hose to.get it off and thrn replace it with a new one.

Saw a few air intake repair kits for sale, which is essentially the small intake hose. Could not find replacement instructions though.

I got one of the small hose replacement parts off of eBay and it worked perfectly. I don’t think there’s really instructions needed it’s self explanatory just a little tricky especially the bottom end of the pipe. I broke the existing mini pipe during the process of removal but oh well it was already broken. The bottom end is harder to access and the clip that came on my replacement pipe took me a little while to figure out how to operate it. Took me a couple hours and a dozen F words to replace but got it done and saved a boat load.
