C230 V6 seems weak. Is this typical??

2006 CL230 Sport Coupe Mercedes
C230 V6 seems weak. Is this typical??
I have a 2006 C230Sport Coupe with the V6 with only approx 110,000 km. I have owned this car since it had 26,000 km and from the start I found it lacking in power. I meticulously maintain this car and it still looks like brand new.
I have just installed new plugs, air filters and of course 0W-20 Mobil1. The old plugs still looked very good with no build up of anything negative so all is well there.
The car is not exactly slow but considering it's specs of 210HP it's disappointingly lacking power . Even with the electronics turned off the car won't even break the rear tires. On the highway it seems reasonably fast but here again there is a hesitation when I kick it down to pass. My 2006 Saab 9-3 with approx the same HP rating is much faster and even with it's turbo lag has minimal hesitation. It has the same brand of Pirelli tires and will light them up in first and second if I drive it aggressively. Yes I do realize that I'm comparing an auto to a 5 speed standard BUT the 1st gear in my C230 is extremely low. Is there something wrong with my car or are is this typical of the 2.5 V6 ??????
