ALL emissions equal
Greetings:
I've tried the search here and the GOOGLE, but no definitive answer to my curiosity.
So, are all 2014 and 2015 MB C250 W204 1.8L Coupe ... have the same emission standards? IE: California emissions? Or non-California emissions?
See, I am looking to purchase a slightly Used 2014 C250 Coupe with 1.8L engine.
Should I stay away from those with the California emissions...and just focus on non-California emissions? IE: Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Florida, etc.??
Regards,
biz

To highlight potential questions.
The US EPA mandated that by 2016 (Model Year) ALL vehicles sold in the US comply with the California Emissions.
Not sure when MBZ complied, but I bet it was well before 2012.

That's GREAT info for the 2016 MY MB cars. But...hopefully someone will be able to chime in with some info for the 2013, 2014, or 2015 C250 Coupe 1.8L??
If the emissions are all the same, then that is fine. I don't have an issue with that. However, I'd like to stay away from California Emission vehicles if there is actually a difference...
Thanks!!

Here is a post from another MBZ forum.

The consensus is that all gas powered MBZ vehicles for at least a decade sold in the US have California Emissions since California has the toughest standards, so likely an MY 2012, 2013, 2014 vehicle will be California Emissions compliant regardless of where in the US it was originally sold.
As to your concern, there is no difference, they ALL are CA Emissions.
