Help Cannot put back rear quarter window trim c250 coupe

Hi,

Wondering if anyone could help me,

I removed the two rear window quarter trims to be able to wrap them in black. Came off fine, exactly like the videos online show. But When I went to put them back on. There is zero snap. nothing looks damage and the videos show people just lining it up and giving it a slap back into place.

Is there any trick or something Im missing? any help would be greatly appreciated. Car is sitting without its rear trim lol

I just wrapped my trim this past weekend also. Like you, I had problems trying to get the trim back on to the car. I got it back on by lining up the back first, holding pressure up and into the rubber moulding. I worked my way back to front using upward and inward pressure until I reached the front. It may take you a little time to figure out the sweet spot, but you’ll get it.

I just had the same problem. Managed to get one side on but it took me half an hour. On the other side I worked at the furthest back clip for almost 2 hours off and on but could not get it so I removed the metal piece and just snapped in the other clips except that back one. It sits flush and it holding on sturdy Im just glad that ordeal is over. I don’t think I would’ve removed them if I knew how frustrating it would be to put them back on.
