Map update
Hi all
When I purchased my car 2 months ago it was agreed that they would update the satnav to the latest one but now they are saying that version 17 is not available yet, but I know it is and I showed them with a Google search so they agreed that if I purchased the map they would supply PIN Code FOC so I contacted Comand online to find the correct update,now the dealer is saying there PIN Code will not activate the genuine map update what a load of crap.
I don't have a problem buying and updating myself but I is the principle of the thing

I bought my 2012 C350 in July 2017 as a CPO. Obviously I’m on a mailing list, I get weekly offers of dealer installed tires, oil changes, 20 % off this or that etc etc.
However in November I got a offer for a FREE SatNav update for NTB 4.5. (Offer expires Jan 31, 2019. The email had a Program Code and a Pin.
i made an appointment this week and 1 1/2 days later (yes I got a free loaner) my system was updated to the most current map version dated 2019. Nothing out of pocket. You should try and figure out how you can get this deal.
I also get similar deals for wife’s 2010 CPO E350 SatNav System, but nothing as good as this. Usually it’s only &50 off regular price.

thanks for reply I got my free update in the end but I had to get the map myself and then badger the dealer to give me the PIN code,I am now on version 17,what version is your map ?.

Sorry for the late reply . . . Glad to hear you got the update. The map version that they installed on my car was 2019 V19.0

RNajarian - How did you get a free upgrade? My dealer sent out a coupon to do the upgrade for $99 which I decided to decline. My maps are still late 2012 edition and lots of the POIs are wrong.

I got got a letter in the mail one day that said “come in for a free update.”
It it was sent from MBZ NOT an individual dealership

My update I did myself for free, as long as you have a copy of the current update (most can be downloaded from the internet if you haven't got it)
If anyone interested just do a Google search for mercedes map update without FSC code.

I downloaded the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager SD Card Navigation and installed it. when it opens, it gives me java errors and closes. what else can I do. I updated the java run time on my windows PC. I tried the program at home and it's prompting me for a login without giving me a place to register. What gives?

My dealer sent out a coupon to do the upgrade for $99 which I decided to decline. My maps are still late 2012 edition and lots of the POIs are wrong.
