Retrofit Soundproofing for Spare Wheel Well
Anyone familiar with a204 682 14 41? When looking this part up, it indicates it is soundproofing. I wonder if this was something that was included on later model coupes? My spare wheel well is straight metal, no fabric at all.

Mine has it. It's just a thick rubber mat that lays inbetween the metal and the spare tire.. very easy to make one yourself out of dyno mat, or spray it with bed liner!? I have had it in and out and it doesn't seem to make a difference whether it's there or not as far as sounds concerned

Yeah, I made the mistake of ordering it before actually looking at my setup. Now I have two, haha! I am still debating lining the trunk with some type of sound deadener.
