Diferential questions W204 4 Matics Sport vs W204 4 Matic luxury sedan
Hello, everyone I just joint and hope to post my first question to the forum.
I owned a 2008 C300 4 Matic sport and I had an issue with my differential where it was making a humming noise similar to the ones bearings make when they're in need of replace. I want thru a lot of test and trial, replacing all suspension arms and bearings, until I found the issue to be the differential bearings. To make this story short, I dropped the subrame and got a complete subframe from the junkyard that included the differential, axels, rotors and suspension components. My question is, I got this unit from a car of similar year, a 2008 C300 4 Matic, but the trip seemed to be a luxury and not a sport model like the one I have. Does any know if there is a difference in the differentials between these two models? If so where can I find this type of info?
