Weird EIS/ESL behavior

Sup, guys! I need some help to understand some minor but still weird behavior happening to my 2013 c180 coupe.

Recently, I went to start the car in the morning and noticed that the infamous EIS/ESL "click" sound didn't happen as soon as I put the keyfob in the ignition, but just after I move the key to the second position (accessories mode).
The same unexpected behavior happens when I remove the keyfob. I hear the "click" when I move the key to the first position and not when I completely remove it which is the behavior I was used to.

In short, that's the behavior I was used to ever since I acquired the car:
- "Click" sound is made as soon as I put the keyfob in the ignition.
- "Click" sound is made as soon as I remove the keyfob from the ignition.

But now, all of a sudden, that's what I got:
- "Click" sound is made only after I turn the key to the second position.
- "Click" sound is made as soon as I turn the key back to the first position.

Everything still works flawlessly and I'm not having any problem whatsoever with the car, but what bugger me is that I haven't changed or touched anything different. It just started acting weird from one day to another.
I even watched some videos on youtube to certify I wasn't going crazy and that my car is indeed acting different from before. It almost looks like it changed some setting by itself.

Has anyone seen something like this before and know to explain what's going on?

Thanks in advance.
