I just did timing chain, cam phasers and vvt solenoid valves. When it was brought to me, it was ratteling and sounded like a diesel upon start, but had so many codes, misfires, vvt valve errors, cant remember all codes. I cleared all of them after I did the repair. Upon taking the valve cover off, one of the front pieces of the vvt was broken off, problem 1, upon lining up the timing marks, it seems it had skipped a couple of teeth on the intake side of timing chain. After new everything, and reassembly, it seems its missing on a cylinder. But after a short drive i get those 3 codes. Someone borrowed my compression tester.Ill grab another tomorrow. So I guess that will be my first step to check and see if it has bent a valve. If these engines can bend valves from the chain being over stretched. Does anyone know off top of their heads. I did remove the valve cover and the timing marks are still aligned. But at the same time, with those codes it to me is seeming for of an ecu/pcm issue. my foxwell shows my vvt's are working ok when i test them. But how go is this thing?? With the vvt solenoid wires off, what type of voltage should I try to check for while the car is running?

Does anyone happen to have any insight on this issue at all?

Thanks in advance. Yes i did search the codes and nothing really helpful.

I might add the intake and exhaust vvt solenoid valve codes are pending and yet to pop thru. Would those codes change after or is my foxwell just not giving me a good code read?

Unplugged each magnetic solenoid from front of the engine and hooked up the old ones while the car was running. The solenoid popped out, but was not very strong at all.

Checked voltage from each harness on the solenoids. I get 14.+ vdc on both. But i get a DTC of low voltage on each. Everything has been replaced with Mercedes OEM parts. Anyone ran into this as of yet? I cannot be the only one
