So a few weeks ago the common problem of “ABS not functioning” warning light along with “steering not working”/warning lights came on. It's happened before and usually goes away within a day on its own. This time it was on for several weeks. So I took the car into AutoZone and had it scanned. Here are the codes that came up from which I think it was a right wheel ABS sensor failure: 6000/7208/5945/5944/5001/7266
So I order 4 wheel sensors and I pull the wheel to discover that the sensors I ordered are not the same as those in my vehicle. See the picture.
I'm pondering what to do when, yesterday, the lights go away and things are back to normal. So now I have two problems: 1) Why are the sensors I ordered not the same ones in my vehicle? 2)why did the lights go off again unexpectedly?
My sense is there is an intermittent problem with the right front center and I eventually will replace it. But now I'm not sure where to get it, other than to go to the Mercedes dealer and pay through the nose. Any solutions? 2010 C300 4matic Luxery Right Front ABS
