2009 c300 clunk/rattle
Hello MB owners! Having an annoying clunking/rattle in my 2009 c300 towards the front of the car. Happens when car is at a slow roll with small bumps when i can hear it most. Probably does it at all speeds but cant always hear it because of road noise. Front end seems tight with no play in steering and mechanic at independent shop states all is tight and in good shape but recommends a front differential service because of slight leak. No profound pops or clicks on tight turns. Already changed strut bearing and sway bar end links with no fix. Sway bar mounts look good. Noise sounds like a sloppy sway bar bushing but all seems tight. Might look into cv joints/axle shaft anyone have any thoughts? Also have transmission pan leak that got to the trans mount and will address that soon. I know things like this are tough to diagnose in person let alone online but was wondering what the members of the forum have seen. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks
