Disconnect Both Batteries?
Tomorrow morning I start to replace the cam phasers in my wife's 2012 C250 CGI W204. A job I'm not looking forward to and have been putting off, until now.
My question is, do I need to disconnect both batteries.
Naturally I'll disconnect the main battery in the engine bay, but what about the small one in the boot/trunk?
I've checked the owners manual and there's no reference to the smaller battery at all.
I will be pulling alternator and I'm concerned that there will still be a live connection (to the smaller battery), even when the main one is disconnected. I suspect there will be, but who knows.
Also, if both batteries are disconnected, will there need to be any reprogramming / relearning of any devices in the car?
