Hey guys. This morning my car died on me while I was driving on the freeway. I had been tracking the issue the past two days using the IB reader which is accessible before you start the car. I noticed the voltage in my battery started to decrease as the IB stayed in the negative after I had started my car. I am pretty sure the issue is my alternator but I wanted to get some insight from others before I open up my car to replace it. The IB stayed around negative 25-35 range and my voltage started off at 11.9 and dropped to 7. Does it matter whether I get the 120 or 150 amp alternator for my car? I also plan on getting my battery replaced as well so I can start with a clean slate.

Our MB C250 coupe had its' age 6 battery replaced by calling the MB toll free emergency road service number.

I would like to help with alternator issues - - - but I'm big time retardo there.
