C250 CDI 2012 Coupe
Lightbulb 2012 C250 CDI Coupe Various (Please Help)

Hi all,

New to the Mercedes world and not having a great start.

Recently (This week) bought a C250 CDI Auto from a private seller. Car drove great no engine light powerfull and quiet only has 93,000KM and seller seemed very genuine.
Car came with a RDWY (Roadworthy inspection here in Australia)

Fast forward 2 days

Car seemed to be lacking power but no engine light showing. Car would only rev upto 2500 RPM while driving and no kickdown. contacted seller to see what was going on and he just said car was sold as seen and never had any issues previously. (Great)

next time i start the car i have engine light on and messages regarding the rear lights coming on the info screen.

Plugged a snapon scanner in and had a tonne of codes come up.

Codes and what i have done so far.

Engine - 1 code

P2455-12 - Input differential pressure Sensor 1 in the Particulate filter has a short circuit to positive. There is a short circuit to positive.

Done some research and appears to be a common issue with the DPF Pressure sensor. Looked in the live data and the Pressure sensor is showing 13psi at all times engine running or engine off so pretty convinced the fault lies with the sensor. (Ordered new sensor, Fingers crossed it fixes the issue when it arrives)

Antilock Brakes - 2 codes

C219700 - One or more signals from control unit Combustion Engine via the can bus is implausible

C326600 - Consequential Fault

Not sure on these faults please help with any suggestions.

Sam Module Front - 2 codes

B1797-15 - Left Standing light has a malfunction There is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit - Current

B179B-15 - Right Standing light has a malfunction There is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit - Current

Sam Module Rear - 5 Codes

B16CB-15 - the output for the rear right side marker lamp has a malfunction there is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit - Stored

B16C7-15 - the output for the Left right side marker lamp has a malfunction there is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit - Stored

B1703-11 - The output for the right rear foglight has a malfunction there is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit - Stored

B1713-15 - Trunk load compartment lamp 2 has a malfunction there is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit - Current - Stored

B1FAD-00 - The left brake lamp has a malfunction . There is a general failure - Stored

Rear lights operation

Indicators - Working
Top 5W light on both sides working
Brake lights Right side working Left side not
Reverse Lights working
Fog Lamps Not working

Checked the earth wires on both lamp holders and 0.1 Ohm Resistance seems to be all good. no apparent damage or issues
Replaced all bulbs
Checked continuity from the Brown wire on the connector and earth and all good.
Right (Drivers Side) lamp holder seems to have a lot of surface corrosion on the board (going to replace this)

A lot of issues that are all small things that im sure are easily sorted just need some advice from the Guru's that are on here.

Many Thanks

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. Nice to have another Aussie on board! Can’t help you with your queries. I’d suggest you copy and paste your complete post into a new thread on the W204 sedan forum…

That forum is a lot more active. All the best with sorting the issues 👍
