ESP unavailable, weather dependent?

Hi I have a 2009 Mercedes CLC. During the summer it is fine, no issues, during the winter or colder months it says on the dash “ESP unavailable, see owners manual. There’s no error codes and the ESP light doesn’t come on, drive it round the block and restart it and it’s gone. Only does it when the weather’s colder. Another forum said lower control arms, ABS sensors and steering angle sensors, none of which are at fault. It’s not an issue, just annoying that I can’t figure it out. Thanks for any help or input!
