radio volume control not working

radio volume control not working
2012 C250
The radio volume control on the on/off button does not adjust the volume. Turns and no change. All other buttons and everything else works.
The steering wheel volume + - buttons are working fine.
Is there a fix?

I pulled the knob out to inspect, all looked good, reinstalled and like magic it works
I found only turn the knob 1 click per second and volume changes, cannot turn it fast or nothing.
