2014 C250 turbo oil return line
After some searching I decided to start a thread about replacement of the oil return line or the gasket/seal.
I have replaced the turbo feed line and the ventilation pipes that tie to the intake pipe already. The return is definitely leaking at the block so I have a seal and the gasket for the turbo end. My question is, Does anyone have any advise on the best way to get at this line. Looks like removing the alternator is the best way to get some access to that area around the block and turbo.
Thanks for any helpful advise in advance.
Todd
Let me start off by saying that both ends of the oil return line, the oil line coming from the bottom of the turbo to the block, was leaking at both ends. More so from the turbo connection than at the block. Apparently one of the bolts failed, we are assuming that it was over-torqued at some point and resulted in a broken bolt in the turbo housing. We replaced the line and seals along with the turbo since I couldn't get the bolt out of the housing. Not too bad of a job. Probably get the car running today, but everything seemed to mate together well so we're not anticipating any new leaks. While we were in there, we also replaced all the o-rings on the coolant and other oil lines.
